Along with the progress of super aged society, the number of lonelihood elderly people is increasing. Therefore, the demand for services to watch the daily lives of the elderly is increasing. However, video cameras and pendant type sensors suffer from infringement of privacy and troublesome wearing of objects. Therefore, the authors propose a watching system that uses a neural network to detect daily abnormal sounds. However, it is extremely difficult to collect all abnormal sounds of life for learning in advance.
In this research, it is determined whether the input sound is learned beforehand or not, and when an unlearned sound is detected, let the user specify that it is normal. If it is specified as normal it will consider a system that enlarges the learning sound by adding that sound to the learning sound and judges it as abnormal if there is no input.
The statistical properties of the output value of the neural network when inputting one type of unlearned sound for the four kinds of learned life sounds are compared with those of the learned sounds, As a result of recognition experiment, we found that the discrimination performance shows the highest value of 89.2% when the threshold value is 0.86. |
