When a subduction-zone earthquake occurs, we need to predict the tsunami height in order to cope with the tsunami damage. So tsunami height prediction methods have been studied using simulation data acquired by large-scale calculation. In this research, we consider as there is a nonlinear relation by the power law between the water pressure gauge data observed by Dense Oceanfloor Network system for Earthquakes and Tsunamis (DONET) and the coastal tsunami height, and propose a nonlinear parametric model. And we conduct the prediction experiment in order to compare the accuracy with the previous methods, and find the improvement in the accuracy for the extrapolation especially. |
