| (in English) | Calculating the marginal distribution of the grid-structured markov random field model in probabilistic image processing causes combinatorial explosion. In a previous research, we showed that the corner transfer matrix method used in condensed matter physics can reduce the computation cost and deal with larger models than before. In this paper, we propose a new polynomial time approximate method using singular value decomposition for the calculation process of corner transfer matrices. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed method for an image restoration task by comparing with loopy belief propagation. | |
