In this paper, we propose a RF front-end architecture for 4 frequency bands with 2 reception paths. The architecture converts the received signals to intermediate frequency (IF) by image rejection mixer structure with 2 LO signals. Next, the digital signal processing separates the two signals which are overlapped their spectrum in IF. The proposed architecture can reduced the number of LO-signal, mixer and AD converter, as compared to a RF front-end architecture which has each chain being dedicated to the reception of only one frequency band. Simulation and experimental results show the architecture can receive 4 frequency band, simultaneously. |
