At frequencies in “Terahertz Gap” band, power generating technology has been one of major R&D challenges. Recently, vacuum electronics are expected that they have the potential to realize high power RF amplifier. In this paper, a 300GHz amplification device based on traveling wave tube (TWT) technology is reported. We employed folded waveguide (FWG) slow wave circuit structure which was fabricated by using micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) manufacturing process. The RF signal is interacted with electron beam in the FWG slow wave circuit, we obtained gain of 6dB at 260GHz with 3GHz band width. |
