Development of the small microphone array for sound field reproduction system based on the boundary surface control principle.

(in English) For the 3D-sound field reproduction system based on the boundary surface control principle, we have developed an 80-ch fullrene-shaped microphone array, referred to as a "BoSC microphone”, as a 3D-recoding device.
BoSC microphone has a diameter of approximately 46 cm so that a control area of the system has an enough space to cover the listener's head.
However, from the experience, we have found that it seems to be capable of obtaining much larger controlled area compared with the sphere size determined by its diameter, and therefore we have come up with an idea of downsizing the diameter of the BoSC microphone with efficient performance of the sound reproduction.
In this paper, we introduce a new configuration of the BoSC microphone with an half size of the diameter of the conventional one, and conduct numerical and experimental studies in order to examine the basic performance of our proposed system.
