[Invited Lecture] Performance of Indoor DL Transmission with Low-SHF-Band Massive MIMO Antenna for 5G

(in English) In order to tackle rapid increase of data traffic and diversification of mobile service, 5G wireless access system introduces Massive MIMO transmission as one of key technologies for realizing capacity enhancement and low power consumption. We develop 100MHz band width massive element antenna and study spectrum efficiency enhancement by spatial multiplexing to realize Massive MIMO transmission in Low-SHF-band which is expected to be applied for 5G commercial bands relatively early. Until now, we confirmed its basic performance of beam-forming and indoor DL SU-MIMO transmission.
In this paper, we show the brief overview and results of indoor field trials of DL MU-MIMO transmission with the developed massive element antenna.
