Improvement of High Frequency Ultrasound Images by Point Spread Function Obtained with Optical Coherence Tomography

(in English) A novel skin imaging combining ultrasound and optical coherence tomography (OCT) is proposed in the present study. Point spread function of the HFUS image was corrected with respect to the OCT image by coaxial measurment of the OCT and HFUS. The method was validated by the experimental results on the artificial skin and in vivo skin. Relative refraction index mapping was obtained with OCT. The refraction index was different in cuticle, epidermis and dermis of in vivo skin.
