The Influence of the Free Electron Laser Irradiation on Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Grown on r-plane Sapphire Substrates

(in English) Optimized condition was investigated for high quality in-plain aligned single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) on r-plane single crystal sapphire substrate using hot-walled chemical vapor deposition (HW-CVD) method. Acetylene was fed as a carbon source. Iron catalyst with average thickness of 4.2nm was deposited using thermal evaporation method. From the results of surface morphology and Raman spectra, some SWNTs, aligned along the [-111] direction on sapphire substrate surface, were observed as a concentration of acetylene was 1.0% and 1.9% under total pressure of 700Pa. Increasing acetylene concentration, G/D ratio was developed. The diameter of the SWNTs was 0.91 nm and 0.92 nm for 1.0% and 1.9% acetylene concentration.
