This paper proposes a template-based TRAX game player and unveils the significance of template sizes in the evaluation. TRAX is one of the two-person zero-sum games of perfect information. The proposed approach finds the next move by using pattern matching. In the approach, there are around 300 templates which include various size templates from 2 × 2 to 8 × 8. This experimental result seems the strength of the TRAX player is proportional to the max size in templates used in a game. In processing time, the average computation time per a template was the smallest when max template size was 6 × 6. |
