Synthesis of New Wideband Filters using Short-Circuit-Stub-Loaded Parallel-Coupled-Lines

(in English) In terms of the transmission-line theory, syntheses of 4 wideband bandpass filters composed of two single-side-short-circuit-stub-loaded parallel-coupled-lines with and without two short-circuited shunt stubs positioned at input- and output- ports are presented. The synthesis/design formulae based on Chebyshev-type filtering functions for 4 BPFs are then derived, compared and verified to show the properties/characteristics of different filters. As an example, a wideband BPF with an FBW of 30% is designed by Filter-B-structure and realized in microstrip line. The good agreements between the theoretical and simulation results validate the effectiveness of the newly proposed filter structure and the corresponding synthesis technique.
