Currently, the wireless LAN terminal is in a dense environment as the number of users using wireless devices increases. In such an environment, packet collision is likely to occur, and transmission efficiency and com-munication quality are deteriorated. In the previous study, an optimal collision avoidance control scheme according to the number of terminals has been proposed. This scheme is used the contention window (CW) size of the binary backoff in the carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) system of selected optimally ac-cording to the number of connected terminals. This scheme has been evaluated by computer simulation, theoretical analysis and actual machine experiments, and its effectiveness has been conrmed. In this paper, we study imple-mented in the wireless device of dynamically selecting the optimal CW size for the number of terminals belonging to the access point. We made prototype to a access point and terminals for proposed scheme then evaluated. |
