For satellite mounted large scale deployable antenna, the temporal change of the antenna beam shape caused by distortion of the reflector in orbit has been reported. We conduct the research and development of fundamental technology of footprint measurement system in order to observe the temporal change of the beam shape (“footprint” means the on-ground beam shape of the satellite antenna). The field experiment of the prototype system to receive the actual satellite signal using many ground stations distributed in the north Japan area was performed to evaluate fundamental performance of the system. This paper describes accuracy evaluation of footprint measurement system. Also, quantitative evaluation of measurement error in ground station was indicated using a quadratic function and determining its parameters by least squares method. |
