Toward the realization of wireless control of machines such as robots and vehicles, the authors have proposed a new physical layer architecture for low-latency and ultra-reliable non-orthogonal multiple access based on low-rate coded orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) with super-orthogonal convolutional codes (SOCC). In this study, we extend the proposed system to multiuser MIMO (MU-MIMO) model and evaluate its fundamental performance. Since, the proposed system employs subcarrier hopping to achieve higher frequency diversity over quasi-static fading channels, the number of non-orthogonal users per subcarrier, and thus interference power observed by each user may not be constant among subcarriers. We mathematically model this fluctuation of interference power and show the trade-off between coding gain and the interference power associated with constraint length of SOCC. |
