Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications is expected to have many use cases. Due to this, there are various characteristics of the traffic, mobility and requirements quality of service (QoS) for M2M service. Due to low ARPU of M2M service the carrier require the minimum number of the communication infrastructure to accommodate the M2M devices, but it is difficult to expected amount of the demand of data communication. For this, we proposed and investigated an architecture to use user terminals (UTs) for access points to accommodate M2M devices. AP selection and channel allocation determines the fulfillment percentage of a quality device demand because many UTs acts as AP for M2M devices in the architecture. Degradation in communication quality is caused to traffic bias for each channel, and heavy traffic channel cannot satisfied requirements of device’s QoS, This paper proposes channel allocation algorithm and AP selection algorithm to resolve the traffic bias, and reveals AP selection algorithm can increase the number of M2M devices satisfying QoS and decrease the number of APs. |
