Stability of fixed points and periodic orbits in dynamic binary neural networks

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The dynamic neural networks are characterized by the signum activation function and ternary connection parameters.
Depending on the parameters, the network can generate various binary periodic orbits and fixed points.
This paper studies stability of target periodic orbit (or a target memory set of fixed points) stored it the network.
Using typical examples, we have investigated relationship between stability of the target periodic orbit and sparsity of the network connection.
In the examples, the sparsity increases, the orbit stability tends to be reinforced.
As the sparsity increases farther, the stability becomes weak and the network approaches an equivalent system to the shift register where no stable periodic orbit exist.
