Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper proposes a saturation control method of LEDs according to transmission distance in visible light communication. Transmission performance by the proposed method is evaluated by computer simulation. In this evaluation, a wireless system with OFDM signals is assumed and an LED linearization method is employed in which clipping followed by in-band filtering and pre-distortion are used. The evaluation results show that the saturation control of LEDs can improve the SNDR of a receiver. In addition, the result with the linearization method shows that it can improve the SNDR by 2.5dB compared with that without linearization.
