High-accurate heart rate estimation from facial videos based on ICA-R

(in English) We propose a novel heart rate (HR) estimation method from facial videos captured with a web camera on the basis of independent component analysis (ICA) with reference. The reference signal, which is extracted using coefficients for emphasizing HR signals, achieves a more accurate estimation. We show the proposed method reduces the estimation error by 18% in comparison with conventional methods.
