| (in English) | Microwave radar and spread spectrum communication were developed around the age of WWII. However, the origin of spread spectrum radar is obscure in the history of radar. During the WWII, it was observed that a pulse of microwave emitted from microwave radar induces hearing sensation. Therefore, the application of this phenomenon enables to develop microwave communication to transmit a speech signal encoded by pulse code modulation into the head of a recipient by the irradiation of a microwave beam serving as a carrier onto the head. A literature survey including patent documents shows that the spectrum spread radar was developed during the WWII. | |
