This paper presents an integrated analytical and numerical modeling approach based on EMC directives/standards for assessing and analyzing conducted/radiated electromagnetic interference and immunity of high speed electronics. By extracting the intrinsic properties of traces, components, vias, cables, and other elements in a system, the equivalent circuits are modeled which is capable of simulating the time-domain and frequency-domain responses in conducted and radiated electromagnetic interference. The computer aided modelling system, Virtual EMC Lab (?Virtual Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory?), is thus developed as a dedicated EMC tool for industry engineers. |
