This paper tries to stimulate teenagers with an enigma on dc power transfer. Power efficiency is derived in terms of loading resistance. The resistance is adjusted to lead the efficiency to its peak. The resultant maximum efficiency formula looks a little bit complicated, so we introduce kQ that can rewrite the formula into quite an elegant fashion. We next take a graphical approach to an intuitive comprehension of their relation. We finally show a numerical table with which one can conveniently look up and confirm those figures at a glance. |
