Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we extracted the acoustic features of emotional speech and examined the effect of the feature on emotional expression in order to verify the factors of expressing emotion by speech.
In the analysis, a speech corpus containing word utterances expressing eight types of emotions was used. As a result, when adding the feature amount of the formant frequency, the discrimination performance for four emotion presentation was improved. Also, focusing on the importance for the discrimination, the highest importance was the power of speech and the second formant frequency. So we confirmed that it is effective to use the second formant frequency in emotion discrimination.
