Energy-Efficient Random Sleep Protocol based on Distributed Coding with Packet Sharing for Sensor-to-Vehicle Communications

(in English) We have proposed a emph{random sleep protocol based on distributed coding} (RSDC), which realizes highly efficient information delivery systems for sensor-to-vehicle communications. On the other hand, RSDC aims to deliver only packets which have been shared among sensors, and it has not been considered how to deliver newly generated packets. Then, we propose RSDC with packet sharing (RSDCS), which realizes efficient packet sharing so that newly generated packets are smoothly delivered. The packet error rate of the proposed scheme over Rayleigh fading channels is theoretically derived. Furthermore, numerical results show that RSDCS achieves higher energy efficiency than the conventional protocol via computer simulations.
