Performance evaluation on uplink MU-MIMO selecting distributed antennas with wideband signals

(in English) Multiuser MIMO (MU-MIMO) techniques achieve high frequency efficiency. However, there is a possibility that the transmission rate may be reduced depending on the distribution of antennas of the access point. The distributed antenna system (DAS), which selects the high density arranged antennas according to user distribution has been proposed and its effectiveness has been shown using narrow band signals in an actual indoor environment. In this paper, antenna selection method is proposed that selects the antenna that has the highest signal to noise ratio (SNR) in a limited area and selects the antenna randomly. Basic characteristics of the centralized antenna system (Centralized antenna system: CAS) is compared with that of the DAS when applied uplink MU-MIMO transmission by broadband OFDM signals in indoor environment, and demonstrate the effectiveness of DAS with the antenna selection.
