| (in English) | Fitts' law is an empirical model using kinematic parameter explaining speed-accuracy trade-off characteristics of human arm movement. Although this law can hold under various conditions, there are some cases where it cannot be explained when moving the arm with co-contraction. Here, we consider whether arm dynamics factors contribute to determine movement duration of human arm movement. First, we conducted movement duration control experiment and end-point accuracy control experiment in order to investigate speed-accuracy trade-off of human arm movement as expressed by Fitts' law. Then the relationship between movement speed and end-point accuracy, the relationship between movement duration and torque, and the relationship between torque and end-point accuracy in each experiment were confirmed.The result showed that the relation between the end-point accuracy in the Fitts' law and the integrated torque showed linearity, and the relationship between the movement duration and the integrated torque showed nonlinearity.It was suggested that the speed-accuracy trade-off as expressed by Fitts' law could be explained by relation of movement duration and torque. | |
