Convolutional neural networks with 3D input for P300 Identification in auditory brain-computer interfaces

(in English) We propose a 3D input for a convolutional neural network used as
classifier for an auditory BCI that presents sounds to the user via
earphones from 6 different virtual directions. As many factors impact the
performance of the classifier, different pooling strategies and
convolution kernels are presented to show how all of them play an
important role for the better or worse in the classification of single
trial EEG data for the proposed BCI. Results show that these simple, yet
not always explored considerations, can lead to significant differences in performance between models
