System Identification Method by Real-Time Calculus for Response Time Smoothing

(in English) In real time systems, it is often required to smoothen the response times. However, when many input events occur within a short period of time, the processing performance of the system cannot follow such an immediate increase of processing demands and dispersion of the response times may increase. So far, there is a theory for analyzing performance of real-time systems called Real-Time Calculus.
If we can model the system by Real-Time Calculus and restrict the arrival traffic of the inputs according to the model so that the delay of the response is within a certain range, the response time can be made smooth. However, there has been no technique of system identification by Real-Time Calculus model so far. In this paper, we propose a system identification method by Real-Time Calculus model. Assuming a certain form of Real-Time Calculus model with parameters, the proposed method performs system identification by computing the parameters by regression analysis from the input / output timing of the actual system obtained by execution traces.
