Accurate OD Traffic Matrix Estimation Using Resampled Observed Flow Data

(in English) It is important to understand the precise characteristics of individual flow, which is defined as series of packets between networks (or sets of networks), for the management and operation of the Internet. However, since the Internet is diverse and large scale system with distributed authority, it is not practical and sometime impossible to directly measure the precise characteristics of individual flow. In this paper, we propose a method to estimate statistical characteristics of individual flow based on aggregated-flow measurements using indirect ways categorized as the ``network tomography''. In the proposed method, we propose a method to improve estimation accuracy by using resampled mesurement data. The results of performance evaluation using a real traffic trace show that the proposed method achieve better estimation accuracy than the existing method.
