(in English) An error analysis is presented on the axial ratio evaluation method using measured values of an amplitude ratio and a phase difference between orthogonal linear polarization components. For error sensitivity indices, partial derivatives of the axial ratio were derived with respect to the amplitude ratio or the phase difference. From a practical point of view, formulae of axial ratio error in dB were also derived, the error sources of which are an error of the amplitude ratio in dB, or an error of the phase difference in degrees. A remarkable difference between the formulae was revealed on variation with respect to tilt angle $psi$: the formula of the amplitude ratio error is with $cos 2 psi$-variation, on the contrary, that of the phase difference error is with $sin 2 psi$-variation. Required measurement accuracies are immediately determined for a desired axial ratio accuracy at evaluating axial ratio value by using the derived formulae.
