[Poster Presentation] Development of a communication system for smartphones using information hiding in audio signal

(in English) This paper proposes a technique of embedding information into audio signal to communicate using loudspeakers and microphones mounted on mobile devices. The embedded information is represented by existence of sine waves with 11 different frequencies as binary information. These frequencies are selected from high frequency bands based on auditory characteristics about the perception of high frequency sounds. We evaluated the performance of proposed system about the ratios of correctly decoded information in actual environment. We also performed subjective evaluation about the perception to embedded audio signal.
