[Poster Presentation] Switchable Adaptive Feedback Canceller for Hearing Aids

(in English) Hearing aids suffer from howling. A traditional adaptive feedback canceller (T-AFC) removes howling, although it often degrades the quality of the desired signal. To prevent degradation, the prediction error method-based adaptive feedback canceller (PEM-AFC) has been proposed. Unfortunately, once howling occurs, it does not remove howling until the feedback path estimation is completed. Herein, we propose a method to suppress the degradation and remove howling in a short time. The proposed method switches the T-AFC and the PEM-AFC depending on whether or not howling occurs.
