Performance Indicator for THz TRX module

(in English) Ultra-high-speed wireless links are achievable by using terahertz frequencies which have vast frequency band for wireless communications. Many measurements of various terahertz wireless transceiver modules have been reported. However, it is difficult to compare their performance because they have different data rates, modulation formats, antenna gains, allowable bit error rates, and transmission distances. To overcome the difficulty, this paper presents a performance indicator for comparing their performance by normalizing transmission conditions. Also, performance of our 300 GHz CMOS transmission module is compared with state-of-the-arts by the indicator.
