Low power and high-speed wireless data transmission is required when building wireless sensor networks using bat-tery-driven wireless sensor nodes. Two-dimensional communication (2DC) enables low power and high-speed data transmission with extremely low power radio via an evanescent field generated on the sheet like waveguide medium. This paper proposes a physical layer design which enables 36-Mbps wireless communication with 24-mW power con-sumption by using 2DC environment where waveguide mediums covers floor like a tile carpet. And we show a feasibil-ity of that by using a numeric calculation and experimental results. |
