[Poster Presentation] Performance Evaluation of Initial Value Setting Method for Multi-channel NMF Using Single-channel NMF

(in English) The multi-channel nonnegative matrix factorization (MNMF) is an extension of the single-channel nonnegative matrix factorization (SNMF) to multi-channel observations which can be used for blind source separation of multichannel audio signals. In our previous work, we proposed a initial value setting method for a basis matrix and a coefficient matrix of the MNMF, using the squared Frobenius norm criterion, by the SNMF which is faster than the MNMF.In this paper, we further investigate the performance of the proposed method for both of the squared Frobenius norm criterion and the Itakura-Saito (IS) divergence criterion with various parameters.
Experimental results show that the the proposed method outperforms the conventional random-based initial value setting.
