[Invited Talk] Circuit-Oriented Modeling and Analysis Methods Toward the Fast Simulation of Power Delivery Network

(in English) In this report, I introduce efficient modeling and analysis methods for the fast simulation of power delivery networks (PDNs) in chip, package, and board. In the case that the PDN including small and/or curved structures, meshes are generally small and the number of them becomes large, and therefore, the time taken for the analysis tends to be large. On the other hand, if an analysis method depends on a property of an object to be analyzed, we may be not able to perform the efficient simulation. The modeling method described in this report can reduce the number of meshes without degrading the accuracy and derive the equivalent circuit model which has suitable properties for the analysis. In addition, I also introduce the method to provide the fast simulation of the model which has a property inconvenient to an existing analysis method. From viewpoints of both modeling and analysis methods, I describe how to achieve the fast simulation and make a point that the circuit-oriented techniques based on the equivalent circuit model are suitable for the validation of the PDN.
