The purpose of this research is to develop a reading speech fluency assessment tool for pupils. We propose five metrics to assess the features of reading speech fluency. We introduce the number of pause, period lengths of pauses and types of pause in these metrics. In this paper, based on the practical evaluation for 47 pupils reading data, we show the validity of our metrics, then we briefly show the function and mechanism of our reading fluency assessment tool. |
