Improvement of band narrowing characteristics of Simplified Optical Cross Connect for improving optical path reachability of elastic optical networks

(in English) In an elastic optical network that enables capacity expansion and flexibility improvement of optical communication systems, reduction of optical path reachability due to band narrowing of the optical band pass filter built in the optical node becomes a problem. We have proposed a new optical filter configuration to mitigate band narrowing and have studied SOXC (Simplified Optical Cross Connect) optical node applying this configuration. In this paper, we report the verification results on reachability improvement by using this optical filter configuration.
