Proposal of Data-Gathering Sensor Tree Creation Algorithm Optimized in Tree Lifetime and Algorithm Speed in WSN

(in English) Data gatherings that forward sensor data through sensor nodes on a sensor tree up to its root node are widely used in wireless sensor networks. However, all the sensor nodes except for the root node on a data gathering tree are run with batteries, thus it is required to save the energy of the batteries efficiently. This paper proposes a tree creation algorithm named ASAGAO (Assured Switching with Accurate GrAph Optimization), and its tree lifetime, which is defined as the number of data gathering rounds until the first sensor node on the tree depletes its battery energy, and tree creation time are evaluated. As a result, it is demonstrated that ASAGAO is superior to the best-performed algorithm, RaSMaLai, among the existing algorithms in terms of tree lifetime and algorithm speed.
