Deformation Estimation of Elastic Bodies Based on Global Intensity Information from Monocular Images

(in English) This study proposes a method to estimate elastic deformation using intensity information obtained from monocular images. Our method allows to estimate local deformation of organs with internal structures using a finite element model reconstructed from preoperative CT data. We introduce evaluation function which quantifies the difference of intensity value between camera image and model image. The external force constraint is defined by evaluation function and the model shape is updated to satisfy this constraint based on finite element model method. The result of the experiments showed that the proposed methods could estimate the deformation with an error of 8.6% on average.
