Simple Ultrasound Diagnostic System for the Fractured Bone with a Variable Angle Ultrasound Probe

(in English) Currently, bone fractures are often diagnosed by using an X-ray CT or X-ray diagnostic equipment. However, during diagnosis, X-ray or radiation from such apparatuses adversely affect the human body. On the contrary, technologies to promote healing of bone fracture by Low Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound (LIPUS) are attracting attention. The LIPUS is often used in the field of sports competition or training. We should investigate the simple and easy diagnostic method of bone fracture with minimal adverse effects on human body. Methods for identification of the fractured region should be developed by using ultrasound technology. Ultrasound has an advantage without adversely affecting with radiation unlike X-ray CT or X-ray diagnostic equipment.
