Correction of misregistration for manipulating real objects and virtual objects by hand using an NUI device

(in English) Recent development of NUI(Natural User Interface) device makes AR(Augmented Reality) environment capable of virtual object manipulation by a real human hand. However, measurement errors often cause misregistration between the virtual object and the human hand. Although our previous work proposes to replace the hand by a virtual hand and fit its posture to the virtual object, another misregistration occurs between the virtual hand and real objects if they are manipulated as well as virtual objects. This article discusses the possibility to cope with this misregistration by fitting the posture of the virtual hand to the 3D surface of the real object measured by the same NUI device.
