Information processing model of "Beauty" based on prediction and compression

(in English) Previous studies on "Beauty" have explained that understanding is important to judge the beauty of objects, and discovery of the regularity in the objects structure is important for the this understanding. In this research, we propose an information processing model that evaluates the beauty of object. This model evaluates the regularity of objects by the performance of prediction or compression of the information, by which it evaluates the "Beauty" of the objects. We took simulation experiments of aesthetic evaluations by using the proposed model, and examined several candidates of the aesthetic measure. The result suggested that the ratio of the accumulated inter- nal reward which is given by the discovery of the regularity and the information entropy expressing the complexity of the objects is the most appropriate aesthetic measure.
