Atutomated Change Planning for Network Device with Model-based Aproach

(in English) The configuration management automation tools, such as ansible and puppet, have been applied to network devices as well as applications and server infrastructure. However, generating update processes of network devices needs manual change planning because existing tools cannot deal with the complicated constraints among redundant groups and neighbor devices. The change planning scheme we are now developing can automatically generate various update processes. The component model of our scheme defines the system element states and constraints between the states as finite automaton and state transition constraints. In this paper, we propose that this scheme applies to updates of network devices. We present the effectiveness of our scheme through a sample case that simulates data center network.
