Extraction of coherent component from multichannel audio signal

(in English) Three-dimensional audio recording usually involves a number of spatially distributed microphones to capture the spatial sound. The temporal differences in arrival of sound from a source to microphones make the recorded signal less coherent than that with coincident microphones. In this paper, a new method that extracts the interchannel coherent component from multichannel audio signal is proposed. It estimates the component of one channel signal from the other channel signals based on the least squares estimation. The experimental results showed that the new method can extract the interchannel coherent component from multichannel audio signal regardless of the number of channels of the signal.
