Linear optical sampling is an optical sampling technique which uses interference between signal pulses and local pulses, and enables us to observe signal pulse waveform with high sensitivity and high time resolution. In this paper, by using the novel coherence recovery technique, the coherence between two pulse lasers is equivalently maintained, and amplitude averaging is realized to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio. As a result, we realized impulse response measurements of multi-mode fiber with dynamic range of 80 dB and time resolution of 10 ps. |
