To resist the growth of abnormal traffic such as P2P flows, DDoS attacks and Internet worms, a circuit design to realize real-time abnormal traffic detection among broadband networks is discussed in this paper. A simple frequent-itemset-mining method which can distinguish the abnormal traffic flows with small amount of memory is implemented by using self-timed pipeline circuit which can parallelize exhaustively the originally sequential memory accesses temporally and spatially in order to achieve higher throughput. The performance estimation based on an existing LSI chip design shows that the circuit implementation is expected to achieve more than 100G bps processing capability. |
