[Poster Presentation] Development of Monkey Detecting System with Energy Harvesting Technologies

(in English) Feeding damages caused by harmful vermins, such as monkeys and wild boars, become serious in farms and gardens adjacent to forests. So, it is necessary to detect appearance of vermins in order to repel them. In this research, we studied and designed a semi-permanent operable vermin detection system utilizing solar cells. Moreover, we evaluated the effectiveness of the power supply circuit which is designed for this system with energy harvesting technologies. A 920MHz wireless communication, which is currently available as unlicensed band, is used to detect appearance of vermins. In future works, we perform an operation test by attaching a collar of the proposed system to actual monkeys, and to assess whether it is possible to detect appearance of monkeys.
