[Invited Lecture] A study on the use of higher portion of SHF band for 5G

(in English) SHF-band broadband transmission is under study aiming at increasing peak data rate and/or system capacity for 5G Ultra Mobile Broadband communication. The use of high SHF band is different from other bands below low SHF band due to the limitation of radio propagation characteristics. This report introduces SoftBank’s 5G research activities for the use of high SHF band.
