The ultrasonic spindle is one of the processing equipment which is attached a ultrasonic transducer to a rotation axis, and it has high-machining performances. This ultrasonic transducer in the ultrasonic spindle is usually driven by high-frequency sinusoidal voltages. When this voltage is supplied to the ultrasonic transducer from the input side, a rotary transformer is utilized instead of the brush in order to realize maintenance-free. However, the rotary transformer cannot supply sufficient voltage to the ultrasonic transducer because the rotary transformer is loosely coupling. Therefore, it is necessary to cancel the leakage inductance in the transformer by utilizing LC resonant phenomena. The authors has already proposed the resonant circuit which series resonance circuit is installed in parallel-resonant circuit, on primary side of the transformer. In this paper, a novel parallel-series combined resonant circuit, which parallel-resonant circuit is attached in series resonance circuit proposes, and these circuits are compared from theoretical analysis and simulation evaluation. |
