In safety guidelines, the specific absorption rate (SAR) averaged over a specific volume is used as a metric for human protection from localized exposure. The frequency band over 6 GHz will be used in the 5th generation mobile system, so investigation using this metric is required, especially regarding thermophysiology. In this study, we calculated temperature elevation in the rat model including thermophysiological responses for microwave exposures using an electro- magnetic-thermodynamics simulation technique at 6 and 10 GHz. The computed results match well with the measurements. |
